This is actually a pretty good idea. Could you let me know what self hosted solutions are out there and how you find them lacking? |

Certainly BoardGameGeekYou can actually track fairly much on the website itself, but it's not self-hosted and always prone to data loss or theft. Nothing against the site but the idea would be to also Host/Share the games I own (the general Idea of having board games is getting people to play them with :D ) KoillectionThis is strictly speaking a tracker for mangas but as far as I am aware this could be used to "collect" other things too! Lacks any "board-game" related features like sharing the content and tracking stats MeepleStatsMeepleStats seems nice and has fundamentally good ideas. Using vector databases and AI to enhance additional searches (might be something for you to look at for generating suggestions in your pro feature) but sadly this is a needed connection, unless you have a pinecone API key the app itself won't start. I refused to create a Pinecone account just for testing the App so I stopped here. BoardGameTrackerThis looks incredibly nice and promising. Solid UI and nice feature base. It doesn't have the share function I wanted and it's written in .NET. Generally speaking that's still an option for me but it was also troubling to set up and I need something that fits into my environment and doesn't go out of my maintenance capacity. OthersAI did find me a few more names but most of them were reddit post ideas or stale projects (>2yrs) Ideas
Future: Everything else might be nice additions (Document uploading (Player Rulebooks etc.)) |

Hey,
I'm currently looking around for something to "track" my owned board games. I've found a few but nothing I'll actually host as I dislike most of the options for some reason.
One option would be to build this into ryot and offer you the pull request but I'd like to discuss this first before diving into anything.
Current rough feature outline would revolve around:
There's no concrete layed out plan. I've got the idea a few days ago and just wanted to see whether the general idea is appreciated or not. Additionally I'd like for you to think about your current pro feature list and whether you'd paywall any of these features.
