Adding parts from info provider - What about datasheets?

Is there an easy way to download or link the datasheet as it is available on the info provider's product page? Did I miss something?

Tried Mouser + TME info providers.

Do you have an example part number where the import of the datasheet doesn't work?
I have plenty of parts imported from Mouser with datasheets added as attachments.

I am using Tools -> Create parts from info provider

Then searching for a simple bipolar transistor, e.g. BC547B, first Mouser hit is the one from Diotec, Mouser no. 637-BC547B
On the Mouser product page the datasheet is linked.
But when creating the part in part-db, parameters are not filled. No datasheet attachment. Only a picture of the part from the Mouser page. Pricing information is imported as well. Same is true for other parts, e.g. 511-STM32G030F6P6

When doing the same with the TME API, the datasheet and parameters are there. Is something wrong with my Mouser API? I registered for the SEARCH API.

I have the same problem with the first hit from Diotec (637-BC547B). On the website I could successfully open the datasheet link there. When I import the second hit (512-BC547B) I get the datasheet. Parameter import is not implemented in the Mouser Info Provider Service, so that's as expected. Search API is the correct API when I look at the Mouser API overview on their webpage. The Mouser Search API doesn't seem to provide parameter data:

HI, thanks for pointing this out. At a first look, it seems the difference between the two matches from Mouser is: For the 1st one, the datasheet linked from the Mouser product page is not located at a mouser server, but on the Diotec server. For the 2nd one, the datahseet is located on the Mouser server. So maybe this is for copyright or other legal reasons then.

The same seems to be true for other parts, e.g. 1n4148 diode. The datasheet is only added when it is located on mouser.de.

Good to know. Looking at the code it seems that's a problem/design decision from the Mouser side. When I implemented the Buerklin Info Provider, I found that it doesn't provide the datasheet URL via API at least not according to the API docs. And web scraping or assembling the datasheet URL was too error prone to me. Maybe by exploring the different Mouser APIs with some tool like postman one could find a way to get the external datasheet URL but I think you're right that it might be a copyright related issue.
