#!/usr/bin/env python3
"""
Benchmark a hackingBuddyGPT privilege-escalation use-case against a fleet of local Docker
containers (image names ``privesc_<nn>_<name>``).
For every matching, running container the harness runs the use-case once via ``wintermute``,
using a selectable LLM (a local Ollama model by default, or OpenRouter), with a configurable
per-run turn budget (``--rounds`` → the use-case's ``max_turns``). Each run writes its own
OpenTelemetry/GenAI JSONL trace; the harness reads those traces back through the project's own
reader (``hackingBuddyGPT.analysis.log_model``) to score the run — so the JSONL is the single
source of truth, ``state == "got root"`` meaning the box was rooted.
It emits both a console summary and a Markdown report (``report.md``) containing:
* number of successfully rooted vs. failed systems,
* a shell-like command/result execution log per test case,
* token costs, overall and per test case,
* links to the generated JSONL traces (and captured console output) per run.
Run it from inside the project virtualenv, e.g.:
.venv/bin/python benchmark_privesc.py --provider ollama --model ollama_chat/llama3 --rounds 20
.venv/bin/python benchmark_privesc.py --provider openrouter \
--model openrouter/anthropic/claude-3.5-sonnet --api-key sk-or-... --rounds 20
