Code scanning alerts can be filtered in the repository's Code scanning view using
pr:<PR number>. This is particularly useful because the repository alert view supports filtering and bulk operations that aren't available when reviewing individual code scanning findings from the PR.However, I haven't found a link from the PR itself that opens Code scanning with the corresponding
pr:<number>filter. It would be useful for a PR to provide a "View all code scanning alerts for this PR" link that opens the repository Code scanning page with:
This would make the existing functionality much more discoverable and would avoid requiring users to manually navigate to Code scanning and construct the filter.
My particular use case is reviewing a set of known false positives in a PR and bulk dismissing them. The required functionality already exists in the Code scanning alert list; the missing piece is simply getting from the PR to the appropriately filtered list.
