Redis OM Python 1.0 is Now Available!

We are excited to announce the release of Redis OM Python 1.0 (now 1.0.6), the first stable release after 9 months of beta testing.

Install now:

pip install redis-om

Breaking Changes

Version 1.0 includes breaking changes. If you are upgrading from 0.x, please review the migration guide before upgrading:

Key Breaking Changes

1. Python 3.10+ required — Dropped Python 3.8 and 3.9
2. Pydantic v2 required — Dropped Pydantic v1
3. Model-level indexing — Add index=True to model class declaration
4. Datetime fields indexed as NUMERIC — Enables range queries, requires data migration
5. CLI changes — Use om migrate instead of migrate

• Datetime range queries (User.created_at > datetime.now() - timedelta(days=7))
• Geo filtering with Coordinates and GeoFilter
• Hash field expiration for Redis 7.4+
• Conditional save with save(nx=True) / save(xx=True)
