The Credential Manager API allows apps to share credentials with the Google password manager, used in the Chrome app.
In other words, if the user has logged in to their Wikipedia account in Chrome, and saved their password in the password manager, then we should be able to retrieve the username/password, and pre-populate our Login form, without the user needing to retype their credentials.
(note that this depends on a server-side deployment of the necessary updates to our
assetlinks.jsonfile.)https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T426010
