`clearOnUnmount` not working?

Hey there, thanks so much for your work on this!

I see in your documentation that clearOnUnmount should allow identical messages to be repeated. This is something we'd like to accomplish in a feature where a small toast element should be repeatedly visible if another element is focused. I see that there is handling for re-calculating the ids, but it doesn't appear as though those ids make their way into the messages that get rendered here:

I'm setting clearOnUnmount but the messages do not appear to rebroadcast using VoiceOver in Chrome. Could you help get me moving in the right direction?
