Hi team - I'm delighted to report Akshith and I were able to have very productive hacking session last night on the scalable ideation/decision making project which has resulted in a rough scaffolding for this Node.js/Express implementation (assuming the basic file management and web interface is happening primarily via GitHub pages.

There is a realistic possibility this will result with something minimally viable to help enable/facilitate engagement of online participants during the evening event. The basic idea is for the participants to use the system to invent, refine and propose a good smart contract project for hacking via MIT/Law this spring semester. contributions potential implementations through Ethereum smart contracts and other technologies. Assuming we start the round before 5pm The ideal outcome would be for this online engagement process to iterate through 2-3 rounds quickly (eg, maybe 10 minutes/round) in time to present the top project ideas for feedback by Joe Lubin during the questions/discussion period after his talk (5:15-5:30ish).

If this approach is successful (at least minimally, eg for purposes of eliciting, collecting and soft/filter of ideas from online participants) then the February IEEE workshop could potentially use the Node approach could augment, partly replace or be used instead of the Google Apps approach. This would be great in terms of having an open source/open standard implementation as an initial anchor. Based on how things look tomorrow at around 11am when Akshith will do a code review and run through of the assets and current status/next steps, I hope we can discuss as a team the options and best course of action for this Thursday and beyond.
