Collabora CODE 25.4.403 not working

I had to downgrade to 25.4.202 bult-in server release because the 25.4.403 bult-in server release didn't respond at all to my commands or responded after some minutes of screen freezing.
Nextcloud 31.0.8 installed.

I'm having the same issue. Document loading generally fails, only succeeds sporadically after long waiting periods. Nextcloud and all other apps are fully updated to latest versions. Downgrading CODE server to 25.4.202 fixes it.

Exact same behaviour on my side. Nextcloud 31.0.8 running on Debian 13. Downgrading to 25.4.202 has been done to avoid the issue.

Same Problem here, I see some timeout messages in the log. Interesting: In case I'm outside of my home and 100% connect to the Internet, it works. In case I'm in my home and using internal access it doesn't work. I don't use a reverse proxy, system is fully connected to the internet.
Based on the change log for version 403, it looks like that there is bug from the proxy change. I also went back through minor version 202

@slu-010101 I built it but it did not pass the QA. There is a bug somewhere that we need to find and fix.

Upgrading to Nextcloud 31.0.9 forced collabora online to be upgraded to 25.4.403. But just as it was with Nextcloud 31.0.8 Collabora 25.4.403 did not work.
I had to disable and remove Collabora before upgrading Nextcloud to the new release. So, after, I could install again Collabora 25.4.202. It works on Nextcloud 31.0.9 too.

To me it seems problems started with newer Nextclouds with richdocuments (a.k.a Nextloud Office) app 8.7.3 or 8.7.4, where new features were introduced: persistent configuration options for the the editor and user wordbooks. I'm still investigating.

You can download older releases from the Nextcloud App Store. In config.php you have to set 'appstoreenabled' => false otherwise Nextcloud will upgrade apps again to the latest version from the App Store.

Manual procedure

1. CREATE A SNAPSHOT OR BACKUP OF YOUR SERVER, IN CASE ANYTHING GOES WRONG
2. Connect to your server via SSH.
3. Change directory to your Nextcloud apps folder (modify path accordingly):
   cd /var/www/nextcloud/apps
4. Download richdocumentscode 25.4.202:
   wget https://github.com/CollaboraOnline/richdocumentscode/releases/download/25.4.202/richdocumentscode.tar.gz
5. Rename existing richdocumentscode folder:
   mv richdocumentscode richdocumentscode_bak
6. Unpack 25.4.202 in Nextcloud apps folder:
   tar -xvzf richdocumentscode.tar.gz
7. If using Apache webserver, change owner of richdocumentscode directory to www-data (other webservers may require a different user):
   chown -R www-data:www-data richdocumentscode
8. Adjust folder and file permissions (modify path accordingly):
   find /var/www/nextcloud/apps/richdocumentscode -type d -exec chmod 0750 {} \;
find /var/www/nextcloud/apps/richdocumentscode -type f -exec chmod 0640 {} \;
9. In Nextcloud admin account web interface, navigate to apps page. Verify richdocumentscode 25.4.202 is installed (it will offer to upgrade - don't upgrade lol).
10. Test that richdocumentscode is now working correctly by opening an Office document on your Nextcloud server.
11. If everything is working correctly, delete the unneeded richdocumentscode_bak folder and downloaded .tar.gz file:
    rm -rf richdocumentscode_bak
rm richdocumentscode.tar.gz
