Feature request: send data to DTN endpoint

After data has been uploaded to MyEMSL, researchers can download this private data, then upload it to their own servers.

Downloading and re-uploading large data sets is hard. I would like private data (not released) to be transferred to an external Globus endpoint. 🌐

https://status.my.emsl.pnnl.gov/pnnl/ and create a cart of the data. The cart will show up on dtemp (/dtemp/myemsl/carts) with the hash from the cart URL.

This solution could work for PNNL staff with RSA tokens, but we need a solution that includes all MyEMSL users!

While this issue is open, here is the current workaround:

Globus endpoint: PNNL::EMSL::MSC Data Transfer Node
username: bris459 (same as for HPC)
password: "pin+rsa"
path: /dtemp/myemsl/carts/263/cart-hash/

The cart hash is generated by the MyEMSL data cart service, for example:
