Note that I have marked this as backport 1.8, but it probably doesn't backport cleanly. If we want dual-interface MKL to work on v1.8 (which I believe is a priority of Viral's) then we will need to bump LBT to v5.1.0+ on v1.8 to fix all the issues. |

This will allow us to have MKL running in Julia without crashing when calling matplotlib/numpy etc. |
