Is there a pain point in the app driving this feature request?

I have $999 in AWS credits burning a hole in my pocket. I ran out of pipeline minutes in Render so I had to pay for the starter plan.

Your database will expire on March 28, 2025. The database will be deleted unless you upgrade to a paid instance type.

Desired Behavior

Setup RDS for postgres database - persists at lower cost

are you imagining something like lightsail? would $20-30 /mo be acceptable? i think you can grab the lowest db for $15 and lowest container for $7 and deploy via a couple cli commands in a github action

I’ve never even heard of lightsail before. I have about $1k in credits so yeah I’d say that’s decent cost, if GitHub action does that mean don’t need terraform ?

you could do terraform, but probably not needed for this unless we're looking for a learning opportunity

I guess it doesn't matter, I've just heard that better to do infra as code since LLMs can help with it to maintain

• moving forward w/ lightsail
• contribute markdown with instructions to configure aws and deploy
• will be doing a recreate, no need to migrate existing app/users/db
