Description

Hi and welcome to EricAndMack.
This mod contains an Erickson S-64 Sky Crane helicopter with a variety of attachments to carry loads, fuel and vehicles. It also contains a military style Mack Truck with various loads. Some fixed and some designed to be able to be transferred between it and the S-64. There is also a Straddler crane that is designed to load and unload the truck. A Container with a ramp, a Fuel Tank and a big Pallet can be picked up mechanically or via built in docking ports by the Straddler or the S-64. The straddler uses the largest stock telescoping piston while the S-64 has a small stubby piston to lower the mechanical container grabber into place to pick up. There is also a dock plate version that the 3 loads will jump up into when close enough. A special cage to allow the truck to be carried mechanically by the S-64 can have the truck built into it to spawn together, attached by a decouple node on the truck front bumper.
The truck has a mechanical lock system or you can use it's magnetic grapple to secure the 3 loads.

DUE TO A CONFLICT where the stock modules don't like having a dock module in a config with a probe core module there are some guidelines to help stop the Kraken.
1: Never save or leave the world to go back in to get something else from the Hangar, without having the 3 loads or the Car carrier detatched and on the ground before you do. If you have them docked or grappled then after you come back and detatch, they become unmoving statics. (The mechanical system was developed to get around this mostly.)
2: If spawning them attached to the truck (They have a decouple on their underside node) or docked to a carrier, mecanical or dock plate, (Top node is for docking) make sure to fully move off the runway before decoupling or undocking, otherwise the game seems to think they are still on the runway.
If spawned docked in the mechanical carrier then once clear of the runway, if the carrier is armed, then when you undock the load it will fall onto the lock arms and be carried by the carrier.

REQUIRES BREAKING GROUND for the pistons and rotor hinge.
If you have if you have "Raster Prop Monitor" https://spacedock.info/mod/2534/RasterPropMonitor installed then the helicopter will have working monitors.
PLEASE see descriptions in parts to help when building.
There is a craft folder with some premade in it, just copy the craft files to the SPH folder inside your saves folder.

Typing Eric or Mack should bring up everything.
