Paid license still logging 'You do not have a valid license key for the Lucky Penny software AutoMapper'

Hi,

We have a paid license registered during app startup.
But the logger display 'You do not have a valid license key for the Lucky Penny software AutoMapper'.

At one point the app log a line, we have a valid license key for the Lucky Penny software AutoMapper Standard edition.
But the log continue to display errors on invalid license.

Please let us know if there is something to do to avoid such errors logs polluting our servers and increasing plateform log ingestion costs.

Please ensure you have supplied the license key for all registrations. This error often occurs when AutoMapper is initialized in multiple locations throughout the codebase. That you have many such log messages in a row means that AutoMapper is being initialized in multiple places.

Ok understood, so every time we want to register / add a new mapping profile we should also provide the related license ?

Is there any chance to have a way to only provide once the license for the entire app lifetime ?
And so decoralate the mapping profile and the license part which should not be spread everywhere in our codebase ?

You shouldn't need to register profiles manually each time they're needed - the services.AddAutoMapper method allows you to:

• Scan assemblies for dependencies (resolvers etc) to register in the container and register profiles (using the overload to pass in assembly/marker types)
• Scan assemblies for profiles (use AddMaps method)

The preferred approach is to use services.AddAutoMapper to register one mapper configuration with all maps and profiles.

Does that make sense?

Yes thank you, I was mising this AddMaps part to be used independently in assemblies
