How to declare layouts in tanstack start?

The docs mention them:

• Pathless Layout Routes (Apply layout or logic to a group of routes without nesting them in a path)

But there is no example on how to declare them.
There is a discussion about them, but I think it pertains to Tanstack Router, which might or might not be applicable to Tanstack Start.
