What would you like to be added?

A crafting table that can connect to chest(s) it touches, like the crafting station from Tinkers' Construct.

Why is this needed?

The Sophisticated Backpacks mod acts as an awkward solution to combining crafting and storage, and Sophisticated Storage isn't the way we want to go. An early-game option to store and access some items from a workbench would make inventory management a less frustrating experience. AE2 is, reasonably enough, locked to HV, as it acts as an end-all storage solution for an entire factory. An early-game (iron age?) option for this would be great QoL, allowing players to have things like plates, ingots, bolts, and screws readily at-hand without clogging inventory space.

For crafting table - you can probably go for Crafting on a Stick which I saw used in a few modpacks. It can be placed in a bauble slot and opened with a keybind or just right clicked. (Also a suggestion for #3689)

i'm talking about having a dedicated, stationary crafting table that has easy access to the stuff that i don't need to carry around. crafting on a stick doesn't do that afaik, it's just a crafting table you can open anywhere. i don't need that when i'm already in my workshop! :c

Doubtful it’s gonna happen. That is reserved for AE2 and before that you just have to deal with Create Logistics.

accessing nearby tools and materials should not be reserved to anything. AE2 is an instant, large-scale logistics network that just happens to also give you convenient crafting terminals with access to anything else in your factory. what i'm suggesting could just be a chest or a crate accessible in the same menu as a crafting table.

Do you have a mod to recommend that is compatible with TFC? Cause this is like a lot of work to implement ourselves

The mod I used in the examples, Crafting Station Improved by Deepacat, seems functionally compatible with the rest of the TFG modpack, aside from missing the crafting recipe. It works with EMI and even the GT crates. If there's more integration needed, like different wood types and textures, I'd be down to try doing it today.
