Description
Mods (complete and add to the following information):
- Arma 3: 2.20 stable
- CBA: 3.18.5 stable
- ACE3: 3.20.2 stable
Description:
I cannot reproduce with just ACE3 and CBA because the issue has to do with the CSW system and the compats for cDLCs and Mods. Loaded with CBA, Ace, and CUP Weapons only.
When using the CSW mortar system and the artillery computer, in order to aim using the artillery computer you must first fire a round off (which goes into an unknown target somewhere on the map). After it fires off the first round, the map on the computer becomes active and you can click aim. Additionally, using the mortar "boxes" or prebuilt mortar objects with built in ammo, when you reload the "magazine" of mortar rounds. It fires off a mortar round as soon as it's reloaded. The compat mortars from SOGPF and CUP, etc, are not configured to allow auto firing turned off, so this makes the mortars impractical to use with the computer turned on.
Steps to reproduce:
- Go into editor, any map. Place down a unit & a mortar baseplate (ace_csw_mortarBaseplate)
- Put a CSW mortar on the unit's launcher slot, such as the CUP M252.
- Start the mission, assemble the mortar, go into the arty computer and you will be unable to click or use anything.
- Load ammo using an ammo truck or supply box, mortar immediately fires and then the map becomes active.
Expected behavior:
When loading ammo, the mortar should wait until the gunner clicks "FIRE" in the arty computer map screen, or, the map screen should be active prior to loading rounds so the mortar can be aimed safely.
Where did the issue occur?
- Editor, singleplayer.
