Using Visualbox in a virtual machine

- First, you need Virtualbox to run this virtual machine. Go to the VirtualBox homepage and download the latest version of VirtualBox
- Download http://visualbox.org/visualbox.ova (550MB) which is a VirtualBox appliance
- Go to
File > Import Applianceand select the .ova file you just downloaded
- Remember to disable USB ports, in case you don't have the Virtualbox USB plugins
- With this VM selected, click in
Settings > Networkand select the network interface that is active in your computer. Keep the optionBrigded Adapter.
- Finally, you are ready to go, run
visualbox.orgin your machine

In the login screen use '''user''' and '''pass''' as user/password. It is ''highly recommended''' you change the password if you plan to use this VM in production.

After that, put in your browser the address
http://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXXshown in the terminal.You should see something like the following figure
- The first thing you want to do is going to the administrator menu. Click on the link in the first box. The server will ask you for authentication. Use '''admin''' as user and password.
- You can click on '''Go to the editor''' to start creating new visualizations
- What you will see now is the component editor, where you can edit or create new visualizations. You can check How to create a new visualization now.
