Proposal: a "User research" connector category (~~user research platform) #1407
Proposal: add a ~~user research platform connector category
Several plugins (product management, marketing, design) have steps that need evidence from real customers or shoppers: concept tests, message and claims tests, churn or win-loss interviews, usage and attitudes. Today those steps either stop or ask the user to paste notes. product-management/CONNECTORS.md has ~~meeting transcription and ~~user feedback, which cover recordings and feedback that already exist, but nothing for running new interviews. A ~~user research platform placeholder would let a plugin say "run or retrieve qualitative interviews with real people" without naming a vendor, the same way ~~project tracker works.
What the category means: a tool that can plan an interview study, recruit participants (a panel or the user's own customers), run the interviews, and return findings with quotes traceable to each interview. Any launch that spends money must stop for human approval of the plan and the cost.
A possible row for product-management/CONNECTORS.md (and for marketing, if useful):
Category
Placeholder
Included servers
Other options
User research
~~user research platform
(maintainers' choice)
Any MCP server that runs interviews and returns cited findings
Example uses in existing plugins:
Product management: "Validate this feature concept with 15 target users before the roadmap review" → ~~user research platform.
Marketing: "Test which of these three pack claims shoppers notice first" → ~~user research platform.
Customer success: "Interview customers who cancelled in the last 30 days" → ~~user research platform.
An available connector, for reference: User Intuition (hosted MCP server https://mcp.userintuition.ai/mcp, browser sign-in; skills at https://github.com/user-intuition/skills). Disclosure: I work on it.
I understand outside PRs aren't accepted, so I'm raising this as an issue. If the category fits, I'm happy to provide the plugin step wording.
