…ated runs (#75827) (#76058) In a run the gate leaves to fork CI, the gate succeeds and only build-info is skipped, so a job still runs in apache/airflow when its if calls a status check function or all the jobs it needs run. ci-passed is one of them, and it reports the CI passed check the merge ruleset requires. The gate protection only compared which jobs do not depend on the gate, so a gated pull request could change ci-passed, or add a job that needs only the gate, and report CI passed without any CI. GitHub also treats a skipped required check as passed, so renaming any job that is skipped in a gated run to CI passed satisfies the ruleset as well. Job names are therefore part of the gate too. The changed files of a pull request are also listed as it is when listed, so a retarget to a base without the gate while the check ran could close a pull request that should be released to project CI, which is never looked at again once closed. The test sent 16 KiB results for each ~0.9 KiB workload. When the dispatch loop blocked on a full activity pipe, the worker could fill the result pipe before it freed a page of the activity pipe, closing a two-pipe deadlock that drain-before-put cannot prevent at that ratio. It hangs intermittently, more often when pipes are smaller. Production results are a few hundred bytes, so the test now uses results smaller than a workload, which makes it deterministic with the fix, and dispatches enough workloads that it still deadlocks without it. …en (#76084) (#76114) From 2026-10-25 to 2026-10-30 about half of the Spot interruptions of RunsOn runners in us-east-2 came from a few instance families that made up only an eighth of the Spot launches: m5 (and the m5n, m5d, m5ad, m5dn pools its prefix pulls in), m6a, and the r6a, r7a and r6i pools of the in-memory runners were reclaimed 13-54% of the time, the other families 1-4%. Each interruption reruns the whole job. AWS Spot Advisor rates r7i above 20% in the region too. The rc2 pre-flight `breeze ci upgrade` pinned 3.12.16-debian13-dev to efd1a24…, a base-image build that deadlocks the core DB test suite under parallel load: the Other test type hangs and every 3.12 DB-core job times out, while 3.11/3.13/3.14 pass. main runs green on d9f6001…; re-pin 3.12 to that known-good digest to unblock the 3.4.0rc2 sync.

…76140) Three triggerer tests ran a TriggerRunnerSupervisor until it handled its events and left the forked runner running. Since the triggerer freezes the GC before that fork, the supervisor is never collected and the runner never sees EOF, so it outlives the test. On Python 3.12.16, ResourceTracker.__del__ waits for the multiprocessing resource tracker at interpreter exit, and the leaked runners keep its pipe open, so every 3.12 DB-core job hung after the Core tests finished (#76135). The 3.4 constraints resolve pypdf 6.21.2, which is affected by GHSA-mfr5-77xh-9j7h, GHSA-cggf-277g-3q54 and GHSA-5849-834g-hvw5. The fixed 6.21.4 is still inside the 4-day exclude-newer window, so add a temporary per-package cutoff for it, as was done for certifi. Generated-by: Claude Opus 5
