But now is Visual Studio 18 (26) which requires CMAKE 4.2 at least to work

I don’t think software requirements should be updated based solely on availability. They should instead reflect what the core actually requires to compile, otherwise users may be prompted to update dependencies unnecessarily.

At least puting a warning, otherwise we will have users using older cmakes and not realising why.
