Resolution: Issue Already Fixed

This issue has been resolved and was actually fixed before the bug report was created.

Fix Timeline:

• August 7, 2025: Initial reroute node execution fix (commit d4224f7)
• August 13, 2025: Additional serialization fixes (commit 2636a60)
• August 16, 2025: Bug report created (this issue)

Verification:

All reroute-related functionality is now working correctly:

$ python -m pytest tests/ -k reroute -v
=============== 13 passed, 172 deselected ===============

Key test results:

• test_reroute_node_execution - PASSED (directly tests the execution issue)
• GUI integration tests - PASSED (creation, deletion, undo/redo)
• Connection system tests - PASSED (double-click creation, data flow)

Technical Resolution:

• Reroute nodes now properly pass data during execution
• Save/load functionality preserves reroute node state
• GUI rendering and serialization bugs resolved
• Undo/redo operations work correctly with reroute nodes

The comprehensive test suite confirms that reroute nodes no longer return None values and function as expected transparent pass-through points in the data flow.
