What I’m working on

Right now it’s Everember: private AI companions that run on your own machine. Plus uni at the University of Tasmania, and whatever open-source bug annoys me next.

Things I’ve built

tapo-hub-talk: two-way audio to a Tapo camera sitting behind an H200 hub. No cloud, no vendor app. Every existing tool handles cameras that talk to the network directly; none of them handle the hub-child case, so I wrote one. Python, MIT.

About me

I’m Chanelle, 30, a student at the University of Tasmania, an AI enthusiast and a freelance researcher. I started on GitHub in July 2026 and got my first merge in October. A few months ago I never would have believed I could code, and now I can’t stop. I’m better at finding the thing nobody built than at waiting for someone to build it. That snake down there is on a diet. I’m working on it.

My contributions

My contribution graph for the last year in glossy pink and gold tiles, the busiest days in gold, with the months along the top and Mon, Wed and Fri down the side. A glossy pink snake with thin gold scales eats the squares one by one, and they all come back when it starts again. Underneath, all for the last year: how many contributions I made, how many projects I’ve sent pull requests to, and how many of my pull requests were merged.

What I do on GitHub, my last year the way GitHub counts it: a sparkly cross with code review, issues, pull requests and commits on its arms, each with its share, and the same shares as bars beside it.

Western Friend: how many pull requests I’ve sent there, how many were merged, and my commits, in the last year Hugo: how many pull requests I’ve sent there, how many were merged, and my commits, in the last year JupyterLab: how many pull requests I’ve sent there, how many were merged, and my commits, in the last year Quarto: how many pull requests I’ve sent there, how many were merged, and my commits, in the last year MUI: how many pull requests I’ve sent there, how many were merged, and my commits, in the last year Home Assistant: how many pull requests I’ve sent there, how many were merged, and my commits, in the last year Mozilla: how many pull requests I’ve sent there, how many were merged, and my commits, in the last year Read the Docs: how many pull requests I’ve sent there, how many were merged, and my commits, in the last year
