Thanks for plogging alert persists on multiple screens

Describe the bug
After plogging an alert is displayed that says 'Thanks for plogging' and this message persists

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to the plogalong app
2. Submit a plog
3. Message is displayed
4. Navigate to another page and message will persist

Expected behavior
It is expected that the message will dismiss after a timed interval or when a user navigates to a new page.
