Raspberry Pi4 and Pi5 support

I don't think there is dhewm3 fork that can compile/run on Raspberry Pi4 and Pi5.
Would it be possible to provide means to build for this hardware and have dhewm3 optimized to run there smoothly at at least 30 fps ?

Asking, because we might have consumer PC hardware market collapse soon (RAM prices are insane, GPU might not be produced starting this year already, copper prices are on the rise, etc.) and Raspberry Pi4 / Pi5 might be a way people can use to play games without breaking the bank.

I compiled dhewm3 (1.5.2) on my Raspberry Pi 5 and it works. To play it smoothly, I just change the resolution of my display and turn down all in-game settings.

Oh, that's cool! Would you care to post mini-tutorial about how to compile dhewm3 on Raspberry Pi, please ? I never worked with Raspberry Pi, so I have no clue at all 😅

I am not sure if it works with the dhewm3 1.5.4

1. You will need to install the dhewm3 dependencies:
   sudo apt install git cmake build-essential libsdl2-dev libopenal-dev libcurl4-openssl-dev

2. Get the dhewm3 source code (you can choose your version):
   git clone https://github.com/dhewm/dhewm3.git

3. Go to the dhewm3 folder and create a new folder called “build” and go in it:
   cd dhewm3 && mkdir build && cd build

4. Build the source:
   cmake ../neo/ && make -j4

5. Then you should have the executable in the build folder, move it to the main folder.
   mv dhewm3 ..

6. Move your .pk4 to the folder called base

If you get any errors just post then I could maybe help you with them.
