what's wrong with the fedora tests

I think I fixed the issues showing up on arch because kmod resently started to use a major.minor versioning scheme.
But I have no clue what is now happening on fedora, because when I merged show-signing-errors, the tests were passing (https://github.com/dell/dkms/actions/runs/13684810218), but recently started to emit errors: https://github.com/dell/dkms/actions/runs/14105171185/job/39509990301#step:12:72
