Summary

  • Make agent executions, effects, verifications, and release authority attempt-aware.
  • Resume transactions by ID and retry failed or interrupted executions without staging partial work.
  • Bind task effects to the latest successful execution and add completed_no_effect handling.
  • Supersede stale verification and authority artifacts during retries and renewal.
  • Update schemas, docs, unit coverage, and transaction acceptance coverage.

Recovery behavior

  • Failed executions remain durable and can be retried in the same attempt.
  • Starting a staged or revise-required transaction creates a new attempt while retaining superseded history.
  • Failed, indeterminate, or expired verifiers can be replaced without changing the frozen effects.
  • Expired approval authority can be renewed before release.

Validation

  • go test ./...
  • go vet ./...
  • go test -race ./internal/kernel/transaction ./internal/kernel/api ./internal/gatemole
  • scripts/gatemoletransactionbench.sh (10/10)
  • scripts/gatemoleci-plan-test.sh
  • Modified JSON schemas parsed with jq
  • git diff --check

CI

The existing PR validation workflow already selects the affected Gatemole acceptance benches. This change strengthens GatemoleTransactionBench by recording execution start and finish and asserting that every staged effect is bound to the successful execution receipt.
