Consider displaying the errors thrown while storing profile data to IDB in the UI

In the patch for #2472 we simply display the errors to the console. But that might not be visible enough for most users, especially if we need a user action from them.

It might be nice to also make sure we have a nice React component for this error so that we can use it generically. Essentially it would be a dismissible error.
