Description

Fixes #911.

External WebAPI tags selected from JSON arrays retained the numeric array position used during setup. When an endpoint returned the same objects in a different order, FUXA could assign one object's value to another tag.

Polling now locates array objects using the selected identity value and derives the corresponding value path from the object's current position. Newly configured tags persist that identity explicitly, while existing configurations retain compatibility through their saved tag name.

Type

  • Bug fix
  • Regression coverage

Artifacts

  • server/test/devices/httpArrayIdentity.test.js
  • Branch: fix/webapi-array-identity
  • Commit: 6a720b5ba5ae2d679de0efa2678021a5a10ce481

Checklist

  • Reproduced the failure against current master before changing source
  • Verified reordered JSON arrays retain the correct tag values
  • Verified nested arrays that shrink and reorder
  • Verified existing direct-path and legacy reference behavior
  • Ran the full server regression suite
  • Ran the server TypeScript build
  • Ran the Angular production build
  • No dependency, lockfile, schema, workflow, or deployment changes

Documentation

No documentation change is required. The correction implements the identity/value selection already exposed by the WebAPI tag editor.

Additional Notes

The full server suite reported 931 passing tests and one environment-only failure because uv_interface_addresses is unavailable in the local sandbox.

AI assistance was used to trace the existing mapping flow and draft the regression and implementation; all reported tests and builds were executed and verified.
