Gemini CLI -- no update?

Describe the current behavior
Sometimes when I start Gemini CLI on colab it tries to auto-update. This can break the Gemini CLI currently installed if not successful

Describe the expected behavior
Can the Gemini CLI be fixed on google colab like the same way python libraires are and a user can decide if they want to update or not

What web browser you are using
Chrome

Additional context
Tried opening Gemini to got an auto update. Tried to login with google and got an error. Then tried to go back into gemini and couldn't find it
