More Information
homebridge-trane-nexia is a new dynamic-platform plugin for Trane, American Standard,
and legacy Nexia smart thermostats (tested live on XL824 and XL850 units), filling a gap
since no existing verified plugin covers this device family. These thermostats expose no
local network API (confirmed via port scan, mDNS, and SSDP), so the plugin integrates via
the same Nexia cloud API used by the official mobile apps. Written in TypeScript with zero
runtime dependencies (uses Node's built-in fetch). CI covers Node 18/20/22/24.
The verification check script has recently been updated. If you believe any result below is incorrect (a false positive), please reply to this issue and let us know — it helps us tune the new checks.
🔴 Failed Checks
Config Schema JSON: schema is invalid - required should not be a boolean property on individual fields. In JSON Schema, required must be an array at the object level listing required property names. Remove "required": true/false from individual properties and use "required": ["property1", "property2"] at the object level instead.
