A Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord mod that allows players to begin their adventure as any existing lord in the game.

Description

Ever wanted to play as Rhagaea, Derthert, Corein, or any other established character in Calradia? "Start as Anyone" makes this possible by allowing you to choose from the complete list of existing lords when starting a new game.

Requirements

• Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord (1.3.13 or newer recommended)
• Harmony (required dependency)

Installation

Step 1: Install Harmony

1. Download the latest version of Harmony from Nexus Mods
2. Extract the contents of the Harmony zip file to your Bannerlord's Modules directory
   • Typically located at: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord\Modules
3. Ensure you have a folder structure like: Modules\Harmony\

Step 2: Install Start as Anyone

1. Download the latest release .zip file from the Releases page
2. Extract the contents to your Bannerlord's Modules directory
3. Ensure you have a folder structure like: Modules\StartAsAnyone\

Step 3: Activate the Mod

1. Launch Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord
2. Click on "Mods" from the main menu
3. Ensure both "Harmony" and "Start as Anyone" are checked
4. Click "Play"

Usage

1. From the main menu, select "Campaign" or "Sandbox" (Sandbox is recommended when playing as an existing character)
2. In the character creation screen, you will see additional options to select from existing lords
3. Choose your desired character and begin your adventure

Known Issues

• You must select difficulty settings after starting the game, from the campaign options menu
• Some quest or storyline elements might be affected when playing as existing characters
• Special clan abilities or unique features may behave unexpectedly in certain situations
