being asked to select solution format w/ workspace-based development

Steps To Reproduce

1. open workspace
2. Create any project
3. you'll be asked to pick .sln/.slnx format with workspace-based on by default

Expected Behavior

Shouldn't be asked to select solution format in flow

@claudiaregio Can you confirm whether this setting is enabled in your environment? I tried version 1.93.20 and am not being prompted to select a solution format. If you’re switching from the release to the pre-release version, please make sure to close and reopen VS Code so the setting can be applied correctly.

@Jxwoon I don't switch versions in VS Code, I keep release on stable vs code and keep pre-release on VS Code Insiders. I don't have my mac with me today but was on mac when i saw this, the other user report was also on mac. Do you have a way of investigating there or do I need to provide some logs for mac?

Logs would really help me better understand the issue. When you get a chance, please send them my way! Based on other user reports I’ve seen, those seemed related to context menus rather than selecting the solution format.
