Web backend: list and terminate active sessions #2831
Sessions created by browser tabs that went away keep their transports and child processes alive, and there is no way to see or stop them short of restarting the Inspector. Users running many servers, or servers that hold locks/ports, notice this as resource exhaustion with no explanation.
Solution you have in mind (optional)
An authenticated GET /api/mcp/sessions (server name, transport, created, last consumer seen, queued events) and a DELETE to terminate one, plus a small panel in the web UI.
Alternatives or workarounds you have tried
Restarting the Inspector, which also drops every healthy connection.

Before you submit
I searched existing issues and this is not a duplicate.
This is a request for the Inspector itself, not for the MCP specification or an SDK.
