following up on #454

  • Took me a bit of time because I wanted to start from an empty config (not necessarily minimal) that we could possibly reuse to update screenshots https://github.com/teto/home/tree/noctalia/config/nvim-neovim.io
  • images width is sometimes too big. Codex advised me a piece of code but I would rather have someone knowledgeable with hugo/webdesign advice
  • I haven't asked permission to share neovide screenshots. project is MIT, should be fine ?

I initially envisioned the "screenshots" page as "what is possible" since I remember when I started using vim: what's the appeal it's so dry ! While I believe vim distributions to be misallocated efforts, their screenshots showed me vim could be made much sexier.

You mentioned showcasing features @justinmk so I added things I thought were visual and relatively new.

Let me know what you think.

reworked presentation a bit adding:
- lsp
- statuscolumn

reformatting
it was fun but https://github.com/smolck/uivonim hasn't seen a commit in
3 years. Make some room for neovide screenshot.
Native lsp/diagnostic updates have filled the gap
moving cursor and smooth scrolling are cool
with ghosty and pack update. Taken from twitter.
It is a bit sad that we have to showcase such a basic feature everywhere
else but since it's still recent for neovim, it could use some
advertisement
to absorb

You could use the figure shortcode to configure image width.

Instead of placing the images globally in ./static you may also use a page bundle (but not a blocker, just neat)

I've added the missing captures at #470. I initially had set the width for images but didnt think that would work on phones. I am on the go but I will check your suggestions afterwards.
