Calendar delegation

Use case

As a Nextcloud Calendar user, I want to delegate my calendar(s) to another Nextcloud user, so that they can act on my behalf. This would be used by assistants, vacation replacements, and similar.

Specific case:

Christoph shares calendar with Jos. Jos creates meeting but with Christoph as the organizer.

Solution

Leverage the existing backend support from nextcloud/server#16666 with additional UI, and making sure that all operations the calendar owner can do can also be done by the delegatee.

Work packages

• Calendar UI for the existing caldav/sabre delegation
• Making it transparent when an action is carried out on behalf of someone else. Bob invites on behalf of Alice, etc.

The Nextcloud CalDAV backend already has support for calendar delegation and you can test it with some clients like Apple Calendar.
