I recently set up nextcloud on my server, today i tried to update but that failed.

I'm using php-fpm and I configured the system to use a non standard filename for .user.ini (just a standard lowlevel security consideration).

so of course i could rename the file for that update, but then the settings differing from my system in there wouldn't work and might become an issue.

a ignorelist would do the trick.
would help on those setups who have the same issue with letsencrypt, too.

So i'm moving those settings to the pool now. (goodbye proper settings in shell...)

To my knowledge .user.ini is completely ignored by CLI PHP. It's only for FPM/CGI PHP:
