As the
cdms2library has been deprecated and will be retired at the end of this year, maintaining conversion functions does not make sense anymore. Additionally, one of the tests is currently failing on the upstream-dev CI (cdms2is incompatible with a recent change tonumpy), and it seems unlikely this will ever be fixed (and there's nopython=3.11release, blocking us from merging thepy311environment with the default one).cc @tomvothecoder for visibility
