I've been using MIDI2LR with the Behringer X-TOUCH mini for a few days now. I've set up my own configuration and like it very much.

There's one additional feature I'd like to see in MIDI2LR: the ability to switch between presets without having to save each preset in the Application Presets configuration.

Here's is an example from my own LR setup : I have numerous LR B&W profiles presets, named sequentially: "700 - FUJI Acros", "701 - FUJI Acros + Green Filter", "702 - FUJI Acros + Red Filter", "703 - FUJI Acro + Blue Filter", "704 - FUJI MONOCHROME", etc. Now, if I want to switch between presets, I must :

1. Assign each preset individually in the MIDI2LR presets config and
2. Assign a Preset_NN to a knob on the X-Touch
3. Assign the command "Previous / Next Preset" to a rotating knob.

What I would like to have is :

1. Assign a preset to a knob on the X-Touch
2. Assign a new "Previous/Next Preset" command to a rotating knob. This new command goes to the previous/next preset in alphabetical order inside the list of presets that can be obtained from LR.

Maybe the new command must also send and undo command to LR before applying the previous/next preset.

It would be simpler to configure, and more flexible. Hope to be clear, english is not my native language... :)

I feel like this is not as 'easy' as it seems because of the way Lightroom Classic stores Presets. Each Preset defined is stored as a physical file (.lrtemplate) where MIDI2LR has to, firstly, have an index of the Preset files that you have so that it can change between them. I get the feeling that maybe Lightroom hasn't allowed direct access to its Presets via the Lightroom SD, much like a lot of other 'simple' functions that you'd hope were trivial.

Lightroom Classic no longer use .lrtemplate. Now, the physical file format is .xmp.

There must be an access to Presets via the Lightroom SD... That's not how MIDI2LR apply preset?

The MIDI2LR Develop Preset window (Lightroom File Menu > Plug-in Extras) show that MIDI2LR have already an index of all presets.
