This maps the back buttons to function keys for use with android key remappers like this https://github.com/keymapperorg/KeyMapper

This work around seems to be needed because steaminput does not seem to pass the Search/OS/Windows/Meta Key to Android.

This layout also tweaks the trackpad inputs.

I also changed the App name in Steam to 'Android' and Added an Icon.

@DanielLester83 Does this controller map still work? Bringing the URL up via Chrome in Steam Desktop on the deck just gives me a partial controller config screen with the only option available is to back out.

Who was the author of the controller config? I can't seem to find it in the community list for Waydroid.

It seems to still work for me, but roughly you have to click the controller config for waydroid in your steam library, then search "waydroid" (NOT Android) under the community profiles. The link above will only show the profile not apply it to a specific app.

The link isn't even showing the profile for me. As in, I can enter other steam controller URLs and view their controller layouts, but this particular layout doesn't render properly.

The reason why I asked who the author was was because I wanted to look up the controller layout manually by searching the community layouts for Waydroid.

You wouldn't happen to have a screenshot of the button mappings would you? Or is it literally just that this layout has f# keys mapped to the rear buttons?

No, that's the issue I had.

It would be great if the controller profile was installed as part of this script.

Emudeck does something like that, doesn't it?
