The bootstrap-salt.sh script sets up repositories for 3008, 3007 and 3006.
When executed with arguments for pinning to 3006 or via script_args: -P stable 3006, the 3008 repository is left enabled.
The package manager installs the 'latest' version as expected.
Pinning to a minor release is a intermediate solution.
Saw this initially in bootstrap-salt.sh -- Version 2025.02.24.
Updated and tested in bootstrap-salt.sh -- Version 2026.05.20 as well.
Guessing this is a byproduct of 3008 moving to general availability/stable/latest status.
I can provide any additional data, logs or output if desired.
Sincerely,
Scotsie
