Thanks for reporting! Upgrading pillow to 11.x would mean dropping Python 3.8 support. Yes, it reached end of life, but it would probably mandate a major release for us, since there might be breaking changes. Additionally, 3.14 support is still considered beta, so it's not official support (as mentioned in their release notes). However, we can add 11.x to the supported version range, since upgrading to 11.3 seems to work for us for now, as I just verified. Fixed in 13c9c77.

Any binary wheels built against Python 3.14.0 release candidates will work with future versions of Python 3.14.

@cclauss Thanks for pointing that out. As I've written in my comment, Python 3.14 beta was mentioned in the pillow change log, which might have preceded the release candidate. I haven't followed the 3.14 release cycle closely. Regardless, I've just issued 9.6.19 that includes this fix.
