Description

Motivation/Problem Statement πŸ’β“:

Today I'm going to write logic that filters a subset of each GH Webhook payload into individual Firestore docs.
I care about:

  • Issues: opened, edited
  • Issue Comments: created, edited

Here's the Firestore doc schema:

Issue

  • Action: opened | edited
  • Kind: issue
  • Id: float64
  • Body: string
  • Created: timestamp
  • Updated: timestamp
  • Number: float64
  • User: User

Issue Comment

  • Action: created | edited
  • Kind: issue_comment
  • Id: float64
  • Body: string
  • Created: timestamp
  • Updated: timestamp
  • Number: float64
  • User: User

Today's Goal/Solution πŸ₯…:

What are you setting out to learn/achieve today? If you succeed, what are you hoping to accomplish?

Result πŸ“πŸŒπŸ‰:

The fruits of your labor! Screenshots, videos, text, welcome!

Observations & Next Steps πŸ”πŸ‘£:

What are some conclusions from your readings and findings? Are you happy with your results? What might you refactor or change in the future?

References πŸ”—:

Extra/Fun πŸŽˆπŸŽ‰πŸ₯³:

I was feeling really unwell and couldn't sleep this morning so at something like 2a, I woke up and watched Guy Ritchie's new film, Wrath of Man. It's got Jason "The Transporter" Statham in it and is every bit as ridiculous as you'd imagine it to be. In a good way! πŸ˜„
