[Bug] Updating custom named apps breaks them on home screen

When I have a custom named app on the homescreen and I update it, I receive Unable to open app info when I try to open it afterwards.

Does not happen when opening the app from the list of all apps.

Removing and putting the app back on the homescreen again fixes the issue.

Happened on both of my phones, Motorola G42 Android 13 and Motorola G54 Power Edition Android 15.

I tried this and in my case, once you open the updated app from the app drawer, the homescreen shortcut starts working again. I'll look into it. Nice catch!
